Create Your Own Trick-or-Treat Bag

In just one week, most kids will be transforming into knights and fairies, pirates and princesses. They’ll go door-to-door to gather as much candy as they can carry. But for some of the kids who visit Give Kids The World, our Monday night Hare-raising Halloween Party is their first chance to trick-or-treat due to the limitations of critical illness.

As you and your kids make these Village-inspired trick-or-treat bags, we hope you’ll have a spooktacular time – and keep our brave children and families in your thoughts this Halloween.

DIY Hare-raising Trick-or-Treat Bags

Supplies: paper bag, card stock paper, scissors, glue or tape, crayons, glitter, ribbon, and any other flare you’d like to add

Step 1: Gather supplies listed above and print out the PDF with the elements you’ll use to decorate your trick-or-treat bag

Step 2: Color and decorate the spooktacular images – and get creative

Step 3: Cut out the elements you colored using the dotted lines as a guide

Step 4: Tape or glue the spooky pieces of art to your paper bag

Step 5: Add extra flare with glitter, ribbon, etc. and you’re ready to don your best costume for a night of trick-or-treating #GKTWVillage-style.
