In 2013, a little girl named Allie came to Give Kids The World Village and with her, her uncle Randy Griswold. Although he had lived in Central Florida for 15 years, Give Kids The World was new to him.
But, as he saw the Village firsthand and watched Allie’s face light up throughout the week, a spark lit inside Randy.
“The smile on her face says it all,” said Randy. “It was the first time she was ever able to swim in a pool.”
He began doing whatever he could to help create more “firsts,” smiles, and memories for kids like Allie – from volunteering his time, donating, and sharing our mission with his colleagues.
Randy has participated in and raised money for GKTW events like Over the Edge. As the senior manager of global procurement at Tupperware Brands, Randy makes product donations and serves as a Village ambassador, sharing our mission with his Tupperware team.
“I feel like Give Kids The World ties in perfectly to the Tupperware values: Extend a hand, dream big, succeed together, celebrate each other, and do right by others.”
Randy has also spent many hours as a volunteer scooping ice cream, running the train and greeting families at the airport.
“Being at the airport is a great way to share the Village’s mission,” says Randy. “People traveling will see us as we hold our signs and ask ‘What’s Give Kids The World?’ So, I get to tell them all about the Village.”
Randy’s support helps Give Kids The World continue to provide cost-free vacations to families – and we couldn’t be more thankful for his dedication!
