Something mAAgic This Way Comes…

Every year, thousands of wish families fly into Orlando International Airport, ready to begin their once-in-a-lifetime getaway at Give Kids The World Village.

Last week, our incredible partners, the Something mAAgic Foundation, Make-A-Wish, and American Airlines, teamed up once again on an exciting yearly tradition: their mAAgic Flights arrived in Orlando with wish kids from all over the country!

Twenty-five Make-A-Wish children enjoyed send-off parties in their departing cities and a special welcome party at Orlando International Airport.

The energy in terminal B of Orlando International was electric as Village characters, Something mAAgic volunteers, and Village volunteers waited to greet the group of families as they stepped off their planes. Travelers passing by smiled at the party being held for the arriving wish families.

“Landing at the airport and getting off the plane to a huge cheering crowd was breathtaking,” said wish mom Carrie from Missouri. “Seeing Claire’s face light up as everyone cheered her name and sang and danced brought tears to all of our eyes. It was such a special way to start our amazing week.”

We’re so grateful for this important partnership which brings so much joy to families like Carrie’s.

“The Something mAAgic Foundation’s mAAgic flight is a tremendous partnership that also celebrates the power of community,” said Charlotte Beattie, CEO of Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. “Their support has helped us to instill hope and joy in our children and their families when they need it most.”
