One evening, a little extra magic galloped down The Avenue at Give Kids The World. Spirit the Unicorn made his way to the Village to meet a very special wish child named Belle!

It was love at first sight when 7-year-old Belle laid eyes on Spirit.

“I told you they were real,” she told her parents.

Belle and sister Sadie trotted up and down The Avenue with the unicorn. They even got their own “unicorn horns” filled with some of the magic from Spirit’s horn.

Together, they played games, watched Spirit do tricks, and even tried to get him to eat some ice cream… although it wasn’t his favorite treat.

Parents Julie and Jonathan were thrilled watching Belle light up around Spirit.

“I’ve never seen her so happy,” Julie said, as Belle guided Spirit through the Village. “This will definitely be the highlight of our trip.”

Spirit comes to the Village from our partners at Unicorn Hugs. As a therapy unicorn, Spirit visits children’s hospitals all over Florida and trots out to the Village every other week for our Once Upon A Village Party.
